We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic High School JV Boys Basketball Coach to lead and develop our student-athletes during the November–February basketball season. The ideal candidate will be passionate about basketball, committed to student development, and able to create a positive, competitive, and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct practices focused on skill development, teamwork, conditioning, and game preparation.
- Coach JV games and provide positive leadership from the sidelines.
- Teach basketball fundamentals, strategy, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
- Develop players' skills while supporting their academic and personal growth.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, school staff, and the varsity coaching staff.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive team environment.
- Assist with team organization, equipment, and other basketball-related responsibilities as needed.
- Support the overall goals and philosophy of the school's athletic program.
Qualifications
- Previous basketball playing and/or coaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and game strategy.
- Ability to work effectively with high school student-athletes.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to sportsmanship, character development, and student success.
- Ability to meet the time and scheduling demands of the basketball season.
Compensation
A $1,500 stipend will be provided for the November–February season.
