Healthcare Technology Solutions Consultant

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Healthcare Technology Solutions Consultant to support our pre-sales and Product Development efforts. This is a client-facing role responsible for understanding prospective and existing clients' Revenue Cycle Management challenges and helping design technology solutions that address their operational and business needs.

The consultant will work closely with clients and GeBBS leadership to conduct discovery, assess current RCM workflows, identify operational challenges and opportunities, and determine how GeBBS technology and services can best address those needs. The consultant will then work across Product, Technology, Operations, and other internal teams to translate client requirements into practical technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring strong end-to-end RCM knowledge across front, middle, and back-end revenue cycle functions along with the communication and consultative skills needed to work directly with clients. This individual must be able to understand how a client's revenue cycle operates today, identify where challenges exist, ask the right questions, and help develop a technology-enabled solution that improves performance, productivity, accuracy, and financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Client Discovery and Pre-Sales Consulting

• Participate in discovery and pre-sales meetings with prospective and existing clients.
• Work directly with clients to understand their current RCM environment, workflows, operational challenges, technology, performance expectations, and business objectives.
• Ask detailed discovery questions to identify workflow gaps, pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for technology enablement.
• Assess client needs across front, middle, and back-end RCM functions.
• Understand the client's current-state processes and help define an appropriate future-state workflow.
• Translate client needs into clear business, operational, and technology requirements.
• Partner with GeBBS leadership and internal subject matter experts to determine the appropriate combination of technology, automation, and RCM services for each client.
• Help develop solution recommendations based on the client's specific needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
• Support pre-sales presentations, solution discussions, product demonstrations, and other client-facing activities.
• Clearly communicate proposed solutions and workflows to client stakeholders.
• Help validate that proposed solutions address the client's identified requirements and operational challenges.

RCM Workflow and Solution Expertise

• Serve as an RCM subject matter expert throughout the pre-sales and solution-development process.
• Evaluate end-to-end revenue cycle workflows across front, middle, and back-end functions.
• Provide expertise in areas including patient access, eligibility and authorization, Health Information Management, medical coding, billing, claims management, denials, accounts receivable, and reimbursement.
• Understand how individual RCM functions interact and how changes in one area may impact downstream processes and financial performance.
• Identify workflow dependencies, operational bottlenecks, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate existing client workflows and recommend opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, increase productivity, and streamline operations.
• Ensure proposed technology solutions align with real-world healthcare operational, reimbursement, quality, and compliance requirements.

Solution Design and Technology Alignment

• Work closely with Product Development, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Coding, and other internal teams to develop solutions based on client requirements.
• Translate client discovery findings into functional requirements, workflow documentation, use cases, and solution requirements.
• Help determine how GeBBS technology, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled workflows can be applied to address client needs.
• Review proposed solutions from both an RCM operational and client perspective to identify potential workflow gaps or risks.
• Provide operational guidance during solution design and development.
• Partner with technical teams to ensure proposed workflows account for healthcare-specific requirements and operational exceptions.
• Support solution validation, workflow reviews, and user acceptance testing when applicable.
• Provide feedback from client discovery and pre-sales activities to Product Development to help inform future product enhancements.

Productivity and Performance Analysis

• Evaluate client workflows to understand current productivity, quality, turnaround time, and performance expectations.
• Assess applicable productivity measures, including charts per hour (CPH), based on workflow complexity, specialty, encounter type, technology utilization, and quality requirements.
• Help establish realistic performance expectations for proposed technology-enabled workflows.
• Identify appropriate operational KPIs and measures of success for proposed solutions.
• Evaluate how automation and technology may impact productivity, accuracy, turnaround time, staffing requirements, and operational efficiency.
• Balance productivity improvements with coding accuracy, compliance, quality, and reimbursement integrity.

Client and Cross-Functional Communication

• Serve as a bridge between client stakeholders and GeBBS Product, Technology, Operations, and RCM teams.
• Communicate complex RCM and technology concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Build credibility with client stakeholders by demonstrating a strong understanding of healthcare operations and revenue cycle challenges.
• Present findings, workflow recommendations, and proposed solutions clearly and confidently.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are accurately understood and reflected in proposed solutions.
• Maintain clear documentation of client requirements, decisions, workflow considerations, and outstanding questions throughout the solution-development process.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle Management experience.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end RCM workflows across front, middle, and back-end revenue cycle functions.
• Hands-on experience in one or more major RCM areas such as patient access, eligibility, authorization, HIM, medical coding, billing, claims, denials, accounts receivable, or reimbursement.
• Ability to assess healthcare operational workflows, identify business challenges, and recommend practical solutions.
• Ability to conduct client discovery and translate business and operational needs into clear solution requirements.
• Strong understanding of how healthcare technology and automation can support RCM operations.
• Strong understanding of healthcare productivity, quality, reimbursement, and performance metrics.
• Strong consultative communication skills with the ability to ask effective questions and uncover underlying client needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with client executives, operational leaders, RCM professionals, and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance, and other internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare pre-sales, solutions consulting, client consulting, product consulting, or another client-facing healthcare technology role.
• AAPC or AHIMA certification, including current or previously held credentials.
• Medical coding, auditing, HIM, or coding operations experience.
• Experience supporting client discovery meetings, solution presentations, product demonstrations, proposals, or pre-sales activities.
• Experience with healthcare technology, RCM software, workflow platforms, automation, analytics, or AI-enabled solutions.
• Experience gathering business requirements, mapping current and future-state workflows, or supporting technology implementations.
• Experience establishing or evaluating coding and RCM productivity metrics, including CPH.
• Familiarity with EHR, practice management, coding, billing, claims, and RCM workflow systems.
• Experience working with technology-enabled or outsourced healthcare RCM operations.
