The Health Unit Coordinator manages bed assignments for patient admissions and maintains up-to-date medical records and order entries. They also perform clerical, receptionist, and patient comfort duties to ensure efficient patient care flow.
Job Description
Work Shift:
Night - 12 Hour (United States of America)7:00pm - 7:00am (As Needed Basis)
Responsible for bed assignment for admission of patients in assigned area. Maintains up-to-date medical records and order entry on all patients on the unit. Performs clerical and receptionist duties. Performs other patient comfort duties needed to maintain the flow of patient care within the system. Is responsible for carrying the mission, vision, values and quality commitment of Emory Healthcare.
Education & Training:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
One (1) year clerical experience or six (6) months experience as an Emory Healthcare Patient Care Technician.
Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to utilize standard office equipment.
