Head Women's Lacrosse Coach - Walsh Jesuit High School
Walsh Jesuit High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Women's Lacrosse Coach to lead our program and help student-athletes grow both on and off the field. This role is responsible for creating a positive, inclusive, and student-centered team culture that reflects the mission and values of Walsh Jesuit and reports to the Athletic Director. The Head Coach will need to participate in tryouts and summer camps.
Responsibilities may include:
Coaching & Instruction
- Plan and conduct practices
- Teach and reinforce fundamentals, skills, and techniques
- Provide small group and individual instruction
- Support game strategy
- Work under the direction of the Athletic Director
Student-Athlete Development
- Build positive relationships with student-athletes
- Reinforce team expectations, culture, and sportsmanship
Program Support
- Participate in tryouts and athlete evaluations
- Support eligibility tracking, equipment, and program logistics
- Contribute to off-season training
Communication
- Communicate regularly with the Athletic Director and parents
- Provide feedback to athletes
- Maintain professional interactions with parents and staff
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience coaching at the high school and/or college level
- Head coaching experience preferred
- Ability to develop student-athletes both athletically and personally in a faith-based educational environment
- Excellent communication and planning skills
- Familiarity with OHSAA rules and regulations
