Head Varsity Girls Softball Coach

Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Softball Coach to join our team. If you have a love for the game and enjoy mentoring young athletes, this position is perfect for you.

Job Description:

The Softball Coach is responsible for the structure and direction of the softball program at Oakland Christian School. We are looking for someone that has leadership abilities and is willing to work with and direct lower level coaches to project the philosophy of the softball program.

Reports to: Director of Athletics with input from Assistant Director of Athletics

Responsibilities:

• Regular communication with the Director of Athletics, participating athletes and families
• Student Mentoring: spiritual development and athletic skill development
• Conduct organized, structured practices
• Program Organization: roster, uniform and equipment inventory, organize practice instruction, supervision of athletes, etc.
• Coaching Administration: pre- and post-season meetings with the Director of Athletics, parent meeting, CPR certified, MHSAA Online Meeting, etc.
• MHSSCA Membership Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma
• Softball Coaching experience
• Must be organized and able to work independently with a professional attention to detail.
• Support the mission, philosophy, statement of faith, and core values of Oakland Christian School.
• Give testimony regarding your faith in Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Bible-based local church.

Evaluation:

• The Director of Athletics will conduct an annual evaluation at the end of each season.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Schedule:

• After school
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• Auburn Hills, MI 48326: Relocate before starting work (Required)
