Group Leader

POSITION OVERVIEW:   

The general responsibilities of the Group Leader are to provide intensive and extensive academic services to children from ages 5-13 years of age, organize, teach and/or provide academic and recreational enhancement services to the ACDP program.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

REQUIREMENTS: 

· High School Diploma required with college enrollment

· 2 years of experience working with youths preferred

· Analytical, Communication and Organizational skills

· Bilingual a plus

· Computer literate, including experience with Microsoft Office, local area networks and the Internet

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT: 

· May require work outside of standard work hours or on weekends

· Most work is completed on site, with occasional field trips 

· Subject to inside environmental conditions. Protected from weather conditions, but not 

necessarily from temperature changes (example: working in an unheated warehouse)

· Light work (lifting approximately 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying 

of objects up to 10 pounds. May involve significant amounts of walking, standing, pushing, 

or pulling)

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: 

General Supervision: Provided with general instructions on an ongoing basis, usually covering only the

broad aspects of the job, particularly where there are no clear precedents; provides more detailed 

instruction when necessary. Reviews of work only made upon completion of projects or tasks
