Job Description
Status: under 29 hours/week
Location: 1111 W. Washington St. West Bend, WI 53095
Wage: $21.50/class
Benefit Package Including: Free Y Membership; Program Discounts including Child Care, School Age Care, and Day Camp
Hours: Monday through Friday and weekends available
Early morning (5:15 - 7:00 a.m.), morning (8:00 - 11:00 a.m.), and evening (5:00 - 7:00 p.m.)

We offer classes that energize, challenge, and connect members of all backgrounds. As an instructor, you’ll be the heartbeat of the class, inspiring members to move, grow, and thrive together.

Jazzercise
Cardio Kickboxing
POSITION SUMMARY:
Instructs group classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group fitness classes, as directed by the supervisor.
- Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA.
- Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living; maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
- Teaches at least one group fitness class per pay period, unless your supervisor states otherwise.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct and policies within the Child Abuse Prevention handbook.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well; uses best practices and demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Group Fitness certification in an area of expertise, preferred.
- At least one year of experience teaching group fitness classes preferred.
- Able to motivate and encourage individuals through positive attitudes and enthusiasm.
- Must possess valid driver’s license.
- Experience with diverse populations, varying ages, knowledge and abilities.
CERTIFICATIONS:
1. Bloodborne Pathogens/Child Abuse Prevention every year

- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to: bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach, stand, lift up to 50lbs, grasp, perform repetitive motions, talk and hear.
