Monte Nido has been delivering treatment for eating disorders for over two decades. Our programs offer a model of treatment that blends medically sophisticated care with a personalized treatment approach. Our work is grounded in evidence-based strategies for adults and adolescents suffering from eating disorders. We work from a multi-disciplinary treatment team approach while integrating state-of-the-art medical, psychiatric, nutritional, and clinical strategies to provide comprehensive care within an intimate home setting.

We are seeking a Virtual Group Facilitator to join our Monte Nido team. The Group Facilitator position is responsible for providing direct patient support as well as therapeutic interventions. Therapeutic interventions will be conducted in adherence to the philosophy and principles of Monte Nido.

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 2 evenings a week

Responsibilities Include:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for providing a safe, comfortable environment and therapeutic milieu for
2. Models therapeutic eating habits with clients by eating provided programmatic meals and snacks aligned with company’s nutrition philosophy to completion throughout shift.
3. Responsible for engaging with patients in a way aligned with company’s therapeutic approach.
4. Responsible for delivering curriculum, as needed, to groups with ability to communicate and escalate situations appropriately.
5. Able to run assigned groups independently.
6. Co-facilitates groups with others as needed by supporting engagement and attendance.
7. Internalizes feedback from manager on interactions with team and clients and works to improve on feedback.
8. Always presents in a professional way, reflecting the standards of care of Monte Nido Virtual.
9. Monitors patient safety (including eating disordered behaviors) during the program day and intervenes with recovery-focused directives when appropriate.
10. Participates in and monitors daily meals and snacks with Facilitates Meal Pre-Planning and Meal Process Groups. Will need to eat with clients during meals and snacks.
11. Checks in with clients as needed, e.g. if camera is off or not in attendance.
12. Escalates those not in attendance at group in real time to ensure following up with client.
13. Coordinates the collection of outcome surveys and client satisfaction surveys during treatment.
14. Documents in daily reports and patient meal logs, all information, interactions, communications, behaviors and interventions in a timely fashion.
15. Updates group and meal notes within 24 hours, keeping attendance and noting any relevant details.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

1. Participates in weekly to bi-weekly staff meetings and treatment team to continue personal and professional growth as well as building cohesion amongst the treatment team.
2. Demonstrates knowledge and awareness of a patient’s total needs as a person, and addresses psychosocial, physical, developmental, spiritual, and cultural issues as appropriate for each individual.
3. Has working knowledge of the program’s telehealth policy and enforces with clients in group as needed.
4. Adheres to and follows the Monte Nido & Affiliates policies and procedures, including work schedule, time and attendance, and time off.
5. Uses tact and sensitivity in communicating effectively and respectfully with patients, families, co-workers and all
6. Provides for maintenance of confidentiality of patient records and
7. Maintains the values and philosophy of the mission statement of the Monte Nido &
8. Recommends quality and/or process improvement initiatives in order to more effectively and efficiently perform the job functions of this position.
9. VIRTUAL EMPLOYEES: We have the same expectations for employees as we do for clients. We ask that you always have camera on and join from a private space free from other noises and distractions (e.g. not in car) when meeting with clients or joining a clinical staff meeting. You will need a reliable video conferencing setup including camera, microphone and stable, high speed Internet connection. You will also need to be prepared for a back-up in the event of technology failures. We also expect that you consider your personal appearance in much the same way you would if you were seeing clients in-person. You will also need to keep your background (behind the camera) clean and professional.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, strongly prefer bachelor's degree in counseling or similar field.
• Two years' experience in relevant health-related field. Preferred virtual group therapy experience.
• Have technology knowledge and use required software (i.e. high-speed internet, high quality camera and microphone)
• Experience with EHR preferred
