We are looking for Golf Valet Attendants to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. Fiddler’s Elbow hosts a wide range of events from comedy shows and concerts to Fourth of July celebrations and New Year’s Eve festivities, our annual FiddleFest Music and Food Festival, Member White-Out Party, golf outings and sporting events. We also host smaller clubs within the Club, such as our beloved Book Club and Cigar Club. Our members host many private events like weddings, social events, and celebrations of life milestones. 

The Golf Valet Attendant is responsible for  providing valet, bag, and cart services to all Members and guests while meeting the needs of Members and Guests during their experience at Fiddler’s Elbow. This is an outdoor-based position at the Fiddler’s Pool that is fast-paced and involves constant customer interaction and creativity.

Essential Functions:

• Open car doors and greet Members and Guests upon arrival
• Monitor parking areas to ensure proper security standards are being met
• Bring carts from cart barn to proper location near Pro Shop
• Remove bags from bag storage in a timely fashion for Members 
• Manage keys for Members and Guests 
• Operate range picker daily to ensure there are always balls for use
• Clean range balls daily
• Maintain clean and orderly appearance in all areas of golf operation 
• Log and report any problems on any golf cart, member bag, rental bag to supervisor 
• Clean clubs to either load into car, or place in bag room for next outing 
• Return carts to charging stations or staging areas
• Replenish tees, divot mix, and pencils as needed after cleaning

Required Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Must have a valid Driver’s License 

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules.
• Must be friendly, tactful, courteous and possess excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
• Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our members and guests
• Must be a team player; possess the ability to collaborate and work well with others

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up 30+ pounds and sometimes up to 50 pounds
• Ability to handle many tasks at once
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift to perform job functions
• Must be able to safely and efficiently operate cars and golf carts 
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environments
• Must be able to work day and/or night hours, occasional long hours, weekends and holidays
• Hot temperatures in the summer and cold temperatures during the winter

Safety Hazards:

• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
