DEPARTMENT: Golf Course Operations
TITLE: Golf Cart Attendant
CLASSIFICATION: Seasonal, Non-Exempt
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Golf Cart Attendant shall be responsible for the cleaning, fueling, and staging of golf carts to assist in operations of the Golf Shop at River Heights and Buena Vista Golf Courses and assists in other areas as required.

PAY RANGE: $15.00/hour - $16.00/hour

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Golf Clubhouse Operations Manager
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None

Clean, fuel, and stage golf carts on a routine and as-needed basis to support golf clubhouse operations.
Responsible for the safety inspection and cleanliness of the golf cart fleet and log/report any necessary repairs to the Golf Clubhouse Operations Manager or Golf Maintenance Superintendent.
Assist in staging carts for tournaments, outings, and special events as required.
Works to provide a safe environment for both staff and patrons.

PERIPHERAL DUTIES:

Assist in outing and event preparations such as placing hole signage, tents, and proximity markers on the golf course.
Assist clubhouse staff with janitorial duties when requested.
Periodically assist with tee box clean up to include picking up tees and repairing divots in the turf.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near people playing golf, high pressure irrigation, pressure washers, pumps and motors, high voltage, mowing and construction equipment, motorized golf carts, hydraulics under pressure, fuel, oils, cleaning products, etc. The employee may be exposed to fertilizers and pesticides used in the operation of a golf course. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.

Education and Experience: None.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 Knowledge of the game of golf.
Well organized and ability to work independently as well as with others.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be 16 years of age or older.
 Valid Illinois driver’s license.
