Job Description
Job Details: Job Location: Gloversville Group Home - Gloversville, NY, Position Type: Full-Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $21.08Hourly, Travel Percentage: Up to 25%, Job Shift: Any, As a Group Home Worker, you will be responsible for creating a therapeutic and nurturing home environment for youth in a group home setting. The goal of the position is to maintain a safe, secure atmosphere conducive to the youth’s positive growth and change. This includes teaching daily and independent living skills, mentoring and promoting community integration.
Description: Job Responsibilities
• Ability to plan and engage youth in activities
• Demonstrated decision making, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written, including attention to detail
• Form therapeutic relationships with youth and families
• Work with a culturally and economically diverse population
• Knowledge of group dynamics preferred
Job Requirements
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree in Human Services preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with at risk youth preferred
• TCI, First Aid/CPR certification required or ability to obtain and maintain certification
• Flexible availability required including night and weekend hours
• Must have a current and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to the Agency
• MS Office skills required

Please note: The assigned schedule will be one of the two schedules listed above. Flexibility to work the assigned schedule, including evening and weekend hours, is required.
Paid Orientation & Training
All new hires must complete 2-3 weeks of mandatory, fully paid training to ensure you are set up for success!
This program is held Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Full attendance is required during this initial period before you transition into your permanent assigned shift.
