Global Planning Student Program – Project Cost Performance

STUDENT PROGRAM FORMAT:
    

This student program will follow an in-person model. Students will be based onsite at the Stellantis Headquarters & Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan.  Students are expected to work 24 hours per week, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Candidates who are selected for the program will work with their manager to determine a consistent weekly work schedule where candidates fulfill the 24-hour requirement, while balancing their class schedule. During the summer months, students may potentially work 40 hours per week. This determination will be at management’s discretion. Student program cohorts start on a quarterly basis in January, April, June, and September, and students are intended to stay in the program until graduation.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS:
 

In Project Cost Performance you will be part of a team that plays a key role in the vehicle development process.  Project Cost Performance is responsible for forecasting the Total Product Cost of a vehicle program over the program’s development to start of production.  Project Cost Performance interfaces with multiple cross-functional organizations, providing you a diverse exposure to the automotive development process.     

This student program position will assist with collecting, organizing, and consolidating Total Production Cost data under the guidance of the Project Cost Performance specialist.  Support project cost tracking by updating reports, reviewing data for completeness, and helping identify changes or inconsistencies.  Prepare basic cost comparisons, summaries, and presentation materials using available project, vehicle, and competitor information.  Assist with Design-to-Cost activities by documenting cost-saving ideas, maintaining action lists, and following up on assigned items. 

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university 

• Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study at the time of hire 

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications  

• Able to work 24 hours per week, year-round

• Strong written and verbal communication skills   

• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team   

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various organization levels and with external partners   

• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment   

• Proven leadership in academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, or service organizations   

• Strong data analysis skills   

• Strong interest in the automotive industry and new technologies   

• Creative and innovative thinking
