Job Description

As the Global Key Account Director, you'll be in a senior commercial leadership role focused on strengthening and growing the global partnership between Amcor and a global snacking account. Our goal is simple: Partnering for Growth.

You’ll lead a global snacking account, bringing together teams across Amcor to deliver growth, improve efficiency, advance sustainable packaging solutions, and create value for both organizations.

You’ll own the overall account strategy and Joint Business Plan, working closely with senior leaders at the global snacking account as well as Amcor’s global and regional account teams, R&D, Sustainability, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales & Marketing teams.

Success in this role means building strong relationships, identifying new opportunities, simplifying the packaging portfolio, delivering profitable growth, and ensuring we execute consistently across regions.

What You’ll Do

Lead the Global Account Strategy

• Own the overall strategy, relationship, and commercial performance for the global snacking account.
• Lead the execution of the 3 to 5-year Joint Business Plan, translating long-term goals into clear priorities, projects, and measurable outcomes.
• Partner with regional and business unit leaders to align account strategies, growth plans, budgets, and commercial objectives.
• Represent One Amcor, connecting capabilities across Flexibles, Cartons, and Rigids to bring the best solutions to the account.

Drive Growth and Portfolio Transformation

• Identify opportunities to grow Amcor’s share of business with the account across regions, products, and business groups.
• Lead packaging portfolio transformation efforts focused on innovation, simplification, sustainability, and total cost optimization.
• Develop compelling, customer-specific value propositions based on the account's priorities and supported by data and business insights.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of growth opportunities, partnering with cross-functional teams to develop business cases and move projects from concept through execution.
• Help position Amcor as a trusted category partner by bringing forward ideas that improve cost, performance, agility, and sustainability.

Build Strong Customer Partnerships

• Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders around the world and across functions.
• Lead strategic customer meetings and maintain regular engagement with key decision-makers.
• Serve as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring this account's priorities, feedback, and challenges are understood across Amcor.
• Connect teams across R&D, Sustainability, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Marketing, and other functions to solve problems and create value together.

Deliver Commercial Results

• Own the commercial performance and profitability of the account within the assigned scope.
• Establish sales, growth, and margin targets in partnership with Amcor’s business units and global account leadership.
• Monitor performance against targets, identify gaps, and coordinate action plans when needed.
• Maintain clear visibility into account plans, customer projects, engagement priorities, and the growth pipeline.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on account performance and progress against the Joint Business Plan.

Lead and Develop the Team

• Lead, coach, and inspire commercial professionals supporting the account.
• Set clear priorities and create accountability for delivering results.
• Build a collaborative environment where teams across businesses, regions, and functions can work effectively together.
• Develop talent, encourage ownership, and empower teams to make decisions and solve problems.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced commercial leader who is comfortable navigating a large, complex global customer relationship and bringing multiple teams together around a common strategy.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, commercial leadership, or a related role.
• Ability to travel up to 40%, including occasional international travel.
• Experience managing large, complex strategic accounts or commercial projects, preferably across multiple regions.
• Experience in packaging, food, healthcare, or another complex manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of flexible packaging, manufacturing technologies, and production processes is a plus.
• Solid business and financial acumen with the ability to balance growth, customer value, and profitability.
• Proven ability to develop strategy and turn it into measurable results.
• Proven project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A customer-focused, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
• Solid communication and relationship-building skills across different functions, seniority levels, cultures, and geographies.
• A collaborative leadership style that empowers teams while maintaining accountability for results.
• Comfort working across global time zones and cultures.

You’ll be successful in this role by bringing Amcor and the global snacking account closer together, creating a clear growth agenda, advancing meaningful packaging innovation and sustainability initiatives, and turning the Joint Business Plan into measurable commercial results.

You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, helping teams across both organizations move faster, work more collaboratively, and create sustainable long-term value.

Compensation

The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $176,100 to $242,100 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.

The salary range provided reflects the anticipated starting salary base pay for this role at the time of this posting and does not necessarily reflect full earning potential over the course of employment. This range is applicable to positions performed in jurisdictions with pay transparency requirements, including CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NV, NJ, NY, RI, VT, WA, Washington DC, as well as remote roles that may be performed in these locations. Compensation for roles performed outside of these jurisdictions may vary. The Company reserves the right to modify this range at any time.
