Role Overview The General Manager will oversee daily operations, drive business growth, manage client success, and lead cross-functional teams. This role requires a blend of operations leadership, sales strategy, team management, and service delivery oversight in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

You will be responsible for scaling the agency, improving efficiency, ensuring high client satisfaction, and building a strong performance-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Operations & Strategy Oversee end-to-end operations of the reverse recruiting agency. Develop and execute growth strategies to scale client acquisition and revenue. Design and optimize internal workflows for client onboarding, job matching, and placement support. Establish KPIs and performance benchmarks across teams. Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency using AI and automation tools.

2. Client Success & Delivery Oversight Ensure high-quality service delivery for job seekers across all programs. Monitor client progress, placement rates, and satisfaction levels. Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of client issues. Continuously improve the candidate experience journey. Oversee resume optimization, job application strategy, and interview support processes.

3. Team Leadership & Management Lead and manage recruiters, career coaches, content specialists, and operations staff. Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and training programs. Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results. Support hiring and onboarding of new team members. Align team objectives with company goals.

4. Sales & Growth Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive client acquisition. Analyze conversion funnels and improve lead-to-client conversion rates. Support partnerships with career platforms, universities, and workforce organizations. Identify new revenue streams and service offerings.

5. AI & Process Optimization Implement AI tools to improve resume writing, job matching, and candidate outreach. Automate repetitive tasks in recruitment workflows. Leverage analytics to improve placement success rates. Stay updated on AI-driven recruiting technologies and job market trends.

6. Financial & Performance Management Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and revenue tracking. Ensure profitability and operational efficiency. Report key business metrics to founders/leadership. Optimize cost structures without compromising service quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Management, Marketing, or related field.

• 5–8+ years of experience in operations, recruitment, HR tech, staffing, or consulting.

• Proven leadership experience managing teams and business operations.

• Strong understanding of recruitment, career coaching, or talent acquisition.

• Experience working in fast-paced startup or agency environments.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Preferred Skills

• Experience in reverse recruiting or career services.

• Familiarity with AI tools in recruiting, HR, or content automation.

• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

• Experience scaling early-stage startups or service-based agencies.

• Knowledge of ATS systems and job market platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.).
