This position is responsible for tending to a pre-set production line by seaming the edges of pieces of glass along a seaming belt, breaking-out glass, loading pieces of glass onto a line, inspecting parts, and packing parts of glass into boxes. Must be able to perform all tasks in safe and responsible manner.
Essential Job Functions:
Must be able to handle different sizes of glass parts
Must be able to seam parts of glass along a seaming belt
Maintain cycle time on a pre-set production line
Visually inspect and/or measure parts as necessary
Report final production output along with defects
Must be able to load and remove glass parts from the production line
Must be able to work with water
Pack finish goods into boxes
Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8+ hours
Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time
Other duties as assigned
Skills and/or Competencies:
Three (3) months of related experience and/or training
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
Ability to write basic communication and understand on-the-job work standards
Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and/or small group setting.
Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Perform job duties in the plant environment exposed to different sizes of glass parts, noise, dirt, dust, odors, etc.
Be able to work in a hot non air condition environment.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8+ hours
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear, repetitive.
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and/or stoop
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Requires manual dexterity to handle glass parts, hand tools and knives.
Tasks require lifting, standing, bending, reaching, climbing, pulling, pushing, visually observing plastic parts.

EPG started out producing automotive air conditioning sight glasses in a barn and eventually grew into a thriving business housed in a new 144,000 square foot building. EPG was sold in the late eighties but the concepts endured. In 1995, Cat-i Glass Manufacturing emerged to carry on the EPG mission. Our engineering and management group has in excess of 25 years of glass experience. With its core being made up of previous EPG employees, Cat-i Glass has come a long way since the barn. In early 2006 we became ISO 9001:2000 registered. In January 2007, we relocated to a new 75,000 square foot facility. Since then we've acquired two more buildings bringing our space to over 150,000 square feet. Cat-i Glass employees use their knowledge and initiative to provide quality parts that meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.
