General Custodian II-PT

Job Details: Job Location: Headquarters-Williamsport - WILLIAMSPORT, PA, Position Type: Part Time, Education Level: High School, Salary Range: Undisclosed, The General Custodian II is responsible for providing quality janitorial services at assigned job sites. This includes working independently at a site, mentoring and assisting others with training or performing the tasks needed for providing services at multiple sites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of this position consist of the ability to hear, communicate and understand what is being communicated with or without reasonable accommodations. In fulfilling this job, one must possess enough physical mobility and strength to lift at least 50 pounds and possess a high degree of manual dexterity. Typical duties may include some or all of the following: dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, cleaning / disinfecting tables, desks, and chairs, polishing furniture, and simple operation of basic mechanical cleaning equipment.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Perform quality janitorial duties.
a. Police public areas
b. Dust mop, sweep, wet mop floors
c. Vacuuming rugs and carpets
d. Empty trash and replacing of liners and removal of trash to specified locations
e. Scrub and clean restroom fixtures and keep restrooms supplied with towels and other items
f. Dust and clean walls, doors, windows, woodwork, and other above floor surfaces
g. Dust, clean, and polish furniture
h. Clean elevators and stairwells
i. Police around outside of buildings
j. Keep records and make reports
2. Maintain equipment in a clean and workable order.
3. Act in a responsible and professional manner and obey all safety rules.
4. This position may require extra working hours and duties during inspection times.
5. Assist in training and mentoring other custodians to perform quality cleaning at assigned job sites as needed.
6. Cross train to perform needed tasks at multiple job sites.
7. Work independently to complete required job tasks as needed.
8. Perform all other duties requested by the Custodial Supervisor or the Custodial Services - Division Manager.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Custodial Services – Division Manager

Qualifications: Successful completion of onsite job training program or previous custodial experience is preferred.
