The GCP Architect will design and implement API-first strategies using Apigee and manage enterprise integration hubs using Google Cloud services. They are responsible for establishing API governance, ensuring robust security, and modernizing legacy systems into event-based architectures.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
GCP Cloud Operations Suite:
- Cloud Monitoring
- Cloud Logging
- Error Reporting
- Trace & Profiler
- API Management & Apigee
Implement API first strategy using Apigee:
- API proxies, shared flows
- API product lifecycle management
- Developer portal integration
- Define API governance framework (versioning, throttling, monetization where applicable).
- Implement security best practices:
- OAuth2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect
- mTLS, API key management
- Threat protection policies
- Design hybrid/multi cloud integrations using Apigee (X / Hybrid).
- Optimize API performance and scalability.
- Integrations
Design Enterprise Integration Hub using:
- Apigee + Pub/Sub + Eventarc + Cloud Run
- Modernize legacy batch/file based integrations into API/event based systems.
- Establish canonical data models and API contracts.
- DevOps & Platform Engineering
- Implement CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions).
- Enable Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Design container platforms (GKE / Cloud Run).
- Standardize deployment frameworks and reusable components.
