Pay Range: Targeted hourly pay of $12.00, depending on education and experience
Benefits Eligible: No
Work Schedule: Position available August 24, 2026 through May 14, 2027. Schedule flexible around student's work schedule. 10-20 hours per week.

Position Introduction: The Office & Community Engagement Assistant provides administrative and program support to The Mission by assisting with client intake, office operations, communications, volunteer engagement, and special events. This position serves as a welcoming first point of contact for clients, volunteers, donors, and community partners while helping ensure the office operates efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, dependable, and enjoys serving others in a nonprofit environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) at the University of Oklahoma (OU) offers in-person English language courses for international students on the Norman campus of the University of Oklahoma, and off-site courses for businesses providing English-language courses for their employees.
Our location on campus provides students with access to all University of Oklahoma resources including housing, dining, transportation, libraries, medical facilities, and more.
We provide the following English language services:
* Intensive English Program: Full time, 20 hours per week including:
-grammar
-reading
-writing
-listening
-speaking
-seminars - U.S. history/government, presentation skills, public speaking, test preparation
* Test prep: IELTS, TOEFL iBT
* Community English: Part-time courses for students already living in our community
-General English, including grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing
* Individualized programs designed for partner universities or businesses
