Rechat is the operating system for real estate. Marketing, CRM, transactions, listings and AI in a single product, replacing the disconnected stack of tools most agents are forced to stitch together.

Some of the largest brokerages and networks in North America run their business on us, and tens of thousands of agents use Rechat every week. We have spent the last two years rebuilding the product to be AI-native, and we are growing quickly.

Every brokerage leader we talk to knows AI should change how their business runs. Almost none of them know where to start, and the generic tools they have tried don't fit how a brokerage actually works.

You are here to close that gap, fast and over and over again.

You will get on calls with brokerage executives and managers, figure out what they actually need (which is often not what they first ask for), and turn it into working software on Rechat's platform. Manager dashboards, business trackers, listing tools, workflows, and AI agents that do real work in the background: watching deals, summarizing activity, flagging risk, taking action.

Speed is the job. With AI, a good idea can go from a client call to a working prototype in a morning and to production in days. We have already done it. We need someone who can do that every week, across many clients, and keep the quality high while they do it. You will write most of your code with AI, and you will ship a lot of it.

You own what you build, end to end: the call, the spec, the prototype, the launch, and the fix when something breaks. Some of what you build will be for one brokerage. The best of it will become part of Rechat for everyone.

This is a new function for us and you will help define how it works.

What You’ll Own:

• Discovery. Running calls with brokerage leaders, asking the questions that get past the first request to the real problem, and writing it down as a clear spec.
• Rapid prototyping. Turning a spec into something a client can react to in days, not weeks, using AI to do most of the building.
• Shipping. Taking prototypes to production on Rechat's APIs, many of them, at a fast pace.
• AI agents. Building features where AI acts on its own: what triggers it, what data and tools it uses, what it does, and what happens when it gets something wrong.
• Everything after launch. Debugging and supporting what you ship. If it breaks, you fix it.
• Productizing. Spotting when three brokerages are asking for the same thing, and building it once so every client can use it.
• Adoption. Making sure what you built actually gets used. An app nobody opens is a failed project, however clean the code is.

Who You Are:

You are an engineer and a builder who is good at client facing roles as well. The kind of person who has shipped side projects on a weekend, hacked together a tool their team ended up relying on, and gets restless when something takes a month that could take a day.

You are not the engineer who wants to spend three weeks perfecting an architecture. You are also not someone who only prompts and hopes. You understand code well enough to read what AI writes, catch what is wrong, and stand behind it in production.

Our Stack:

Node.js, TypeScript, React and PostgreSQL

Education/Experience:
Be prepared to walk us through each of these in detail.

• 3 to 5 years as a full-stack software engineer, with things in production that real people used.
• Strong in Node.js and TypeScript. Comfortable across the stack: APIs, data, frontend, and getting something deployed.
• You build with AI every day and it has made you dramatically faster. You can show us something you built in days that would once have taken weeks.
• You have worked directly with customers or non-technical people to turn a vague need into something shipped.
• You have debugged and supported something after launch, not just handed it off

Strongly Preffered:

• You have built an AI agent. By that we mean something where an LLM calls tools or APIs and takes action on its own, and you had to deal with it being wrong. Not a chatbot wrapper. Tell us what it did, how you knew whether it was working, and what you changed when it wasn't.
• Real estate or proptech experience. You know the difference between a listing and an off-market, an offer and a contract, and how a brokerage actually makes money. You won't need this explained on a client call.

How You Work:

• Strong product sense. You care whether people actually use what you built. You put love into what you build and pay attention to all the details.
• You ask 'what decision does this help someone make?' before you ask 'what should it look like?
• You would rather ship ten useful things than perfect oneYou can say no to a client, explain why, and offer something better
• You use AI tools daily and know when not to trust them
• Excellent spoken and written English. You are comfortable leading a call with a CEO
• You are hands-on and resourceful. When you are stuck, you find a way

Probably not the right fit:

• You prefer to perfect one thing over shipping many
• You have never talked directly to a customer and prefer to receive finished specs
• You don't use AI heavily in how you build today
• You need detailed requirements and clean processes to be effective. You will create them here
• You want to manage a team soon. This is an individual contributor role
