ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Perform aircraft fueling operations in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
Connect fuel hoses to aircraft fueling ports and monitor fueling processes.
Conduct pre-fueling inspections to ensure the aircraft is ready for fueling.
Monitor fuel quality during the fueling process and report any issues.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to fueling operations.
Participate in safety briefings and training sessions.
Operate fueling equipment, including fuel trucks and ground fueling systems.
Perform routine maintenance checks on fueling equipment.
Communicate effectively with aircraft crew members and ground personnel during fueling operations.
Follow communication protocols to ensure a coordinated and safe fueling process.
Complete required paperwork and documentation for each fueling operation.
Record fuel quantities, aircraft details, and any discrepancies observed.
Be familiar with emergency response procedures and participate in drills.
Respond promptly and appropriately in the event of fueling-related emergencies.
Provide courteous and professional service to airline personnel and other stakeholders.
Address inquiries and concerns related to fueling operations.
Other duties as assigned.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Computer, paperwork, fuel trucks, cones and barricades, fire extinguishers, spill response kits, devices and fueling control panel, static ground equipment, Safety gear, including high-visibility vests, gloves, safety glasses or goggles, and other PPE.
QualificationsSKILLS & QULAIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in aviation fueling operations is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to operate fueling equipment and perform basic maintenance checks.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED required.
REQUIRED:
Ability to pass Federal Fingerprint Background Check - the Federal Fingerprint Background Check is not limited to 7 years but checks your entire lifetime. Felonies will not be cleared.
Ability to pass a 10 Panel Drug Test - The Full Panel Drug Test DOES include testing for THC. SAA is a drug free workplace.
Favorable Moving Violation Report (MVR) - The Moving Violation Report Check is checking for a DL suspension, several moving violations, DUIs, etc. to your current employer until you are confirmed clear.
