Job Description
Clinton Counseling Center, a program of Comprehensive Youth Services, Inc., is a non-profit organization providing outpatient substance abuse and mental health counseling services to adults, adolescents, and families. We are currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team and provide administrative support in a professional and positive manner.
Position Description: The front desk receptionist supports therapists, Clinical Director, Program Director, Office Coordinator, and psychiatrists. An average day would include managing client check-in, answering phone calls, scheduling clients, and addressing any client concerns. The receptionist maintains client records, including filing and scanning documents. Assists with billing, payment processing, and daily deposits. The receptionist coordinates with other staff members to ensure timely communication and workflow. If the psychiatrist is in, the receptionist will assist with scheduling and any medication monitoring concerns.
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 9:00am- 3:00pm | Friday: once a month, 9:00am – 3:00 pm
Compensation: $14 hourly

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Proficiency in computer software programs, including Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is preferred, but not required
- Must complete a background check
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere at the front desk.
- Answer phone calls, screen, and forward them to the appropriate staff members.
- Schedule client appointments and manage the counseling center's appointment calendar
efficiently. - Provide general information about the counseling center's services to clients and visitors.
- Collect and update client information accurately using the center's electronic record-keeping system.
- Process payments, handle insurance forms, and maintain financial records about client fees.
- Assist therapists with various administrative tasks, including organizing files and preparing documents.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the front desk area and waiting rooms.
- Support psychiatrists by inputting pharmacies into the electronic system, and keeping records of prescriptions.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operation of the counseling center.
- Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality regulations regarding client information. (42CRF and HIPAA).
