Medical Assistant – Spine & Pain

Coastal Health Spine & Pain is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with patients, works well in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

Room patients and obtain vital signs and medical histories
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Assist providers with clinical procedures
Administer medications and injections as directed
Perform EKGs and other basic clinical duties as needed
Collect and prepare specimens
Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
Assist with patient calls, messages, and follow-up
Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms
Follow all HIPAA, safety, and infection-control guidelines
Provide friendly and professional patient service
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
CPR/BLS certification preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
Professional, dependable, and patient-focused
Experience in a specialty or pain management setting is a plus

Qualifications: Minimum 1-3 years experience in the medical field preferred.
