Front Desk Associate

About the role

Digs Long Grove, a premier dog daycare and boarding kennel, is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, hospitality-minded Front Desk Associate to join our front desk team. We are looking for reliable, organized individuals with a passion for elevated customer service and hands-on animal care.

The ideal candidate is friendly, warm, courteous, and professional, with the ability to interact confidently with people of all ages, as well as dogs and cats. A strong work ethic, upbeat attitude, and attention to detail are essential.

Position Overview

This is a hands-on position that supports the daily flow of business while delivering an exceptional experience for clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Providing outstanding customer service and exceeding client expectations
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby and front desk area
• Following all standard operating procedures
• Managing check-ins, scheduling, and POS transactions
• Handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels, including large and boisterous dogs
• Assisting with animal care
• Communicating clearly and professionally with clients and team members

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with dogs
• Comfort handling large, energetic dogs
• Prior hotel front desk, reception, scheduling, or check-in desk experience is a plus
• Basic canine behavior knowledge

• Orientation and training classes covering company policies, procedures, dog body language, and behavior.
