The Front Desk Agent at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is the first point of contact for guests and plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional arrival and departure experience. This position operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, managing a large number of daily check-ins and check-outs while maintaining a warm, professional, and efficient demeanor. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, excels at multitasking, and is passionate about hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a welcoming and professional attitude, creating a positive first impression
- Efficiently manage high-volume check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accuracy and speed
- Verify reservations, assign rooms, and issue room keys in accordance with resort standards
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally
- Process payments, post charges, and maintain accurate guest accounts
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure room readiness and guest satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of resort amenities, dining options, activities, and local attractions to assist guests
- Resolve guest issues with a service-first mindset, escalating when appropriate
- Adhere to all cash handling, safety, and security procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area at all times
Qualifications
- Previous front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
- Experience in a high-volume resort or hotel environment strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with property management systems (PMS) and basic computer skills
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8+ hours per shift)
- Frequent walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work continuously in a busy lobby environment with high guest traffic
- Strong manual dexterity for handling keys, credit card machines, and computer systems
- Ability to hear and communicate clearly in a high-noise, fast-paced setting
