Football Graphic Content Intern

Internship Summary

This unpaid internship is designed to provide a hands-on, educational experience for students interested in collegiate athletics. Interns will gain meaningful exposure to the operations of a Division I athletics department supporting 30 varsity programs at the United States Military Academy.

Through structured training, mentorship, and guided participation, interns will work alongside full-time professionals and gain insight into how a high-performing athletics department operates. This program emphasizes learning, professional development, and career exploration while helping students build transferable skills applicable to future opportunities.

Interns within the Football Team will gain exposure to key areas of Graphic Content while working closely with senior staff. Under supervision, interns will have the opportunity to:

• Assist in the creation of recruiting graphics and content.
• Assist with the overall creative vision and activities of the Creative Team.
• Sit in on and contribute to creative meetings.
• Assist with recruiting photoshoots and other creative productions.
• Support Game day content creation and miscellaneous graphic design and content needs.
• Act as a Production Assistant (PA) during select Army Football Creative shoots.
• Take part in day-to-day creative tasks and projects as needed.

Internship Terms

• September 2026 through May 2027
• Internships are for a defined term and may be concluded at any time by either the intern or Army West Point Athletics Association, Inc.
• Interns will be supervised by full-time staff and will receive ongoing training, feedback, and mentorship.
• This internship is intended to support academic learning and may be eligible for academic credit, depending on the intern’s institution. Interns are responsible for confirming eligibility and requirements with their college or university.
• Interns are not employees of Army West Point Athletics Association, Inc. and are not entitled to wages, employee benefits, workers’ compensation, or future employment as a result of participation.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a current college student or enrolled by September 2026, with proof of enrollment.
• Demonstrated interest in collegiate athletics and sports.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and listening ability.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a professional, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfort with online research.
• Flexibility to participate in learning experiences during evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
• Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and a positive attitude while supporting a variety of supervised projects.

This position will be housed within the AWPAA, which is a non-profit corporation organized to manage and support the 30 intercollegiate athletic programs at the Academy.
