Who are we hiring?  

The Food Vendor is responsible for selling food and beverages throughout Madison Square Garden’s Arena in a friendly and courteous manner. 

What will you do?  

• Selling food, and beverages in various locations throughout the arena on a commission basis 
• Will be walking and carrying heavy items up and down stairs 
• Provides excellent customer service to guests and serves food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous and accurate manner 
• Checks identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages 
• Prior sales experience is a plus 
• Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

What do you need to succeed? 

• Strong communication and customer service skills, be able to handle transactions without a register and be comfortable with heights 
• This position also requires you to be comfortable with heavy lifting, able to complete daily and nightly inventory and must be flexible to rotate positions within a shift 
• Knowledge of NYC Board of Health Food Handling rules is a plus 
• TEAM certification is a plus 
• Must be of legal age according to NYS regulations to serve alcohol 
• This position works nights, weekends and holidays 

Special Requirements 

• Able to walk and stand during the entire shift. 
• Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 30 lbs. 
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment. 

Hourly Pay Range$17—$17 USD
