Food Truck Associate (Part-time)

Description

Sal’s Pizza is seeking a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Food Truck Associate to join our Mobile Division. The Food Truck Associate will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our food trucks, helping deliver the same quality food and exceptional service that our customers know and love from Sal’s Pizza.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers, and working at a variety of events and locations. The ideal candidate will be dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with the daily operations of the Sal’s Pizza food truck, including setup, service, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Prepare and serve food according to Sal’s Pizza recipes, portioning, cooking, and presentation standards.
• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service while taking orders and processing payments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary food preparation and service area at all times.
• Follow all food safety, health, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Assist with stocking food, beverages, supplies, and other products needed for daily operations.
• Help receive and organize deliveries from the Sal’s Pizza Commissary.
• Assist with loading and unloading food, equipment, and supplies before and after events.
• Ensure the food truck is properly stocked and prepared prior to events and service.
• Work effectively with other team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
• Represent Sal’s Pizza in a professional and positive manner at events, festivals, private functions, and other locations.
• Assist with maintaining food truck equipment and immediately report any maintenance or operational issues to management.
• Help ensure the food truck remains clean, organized, and ready for service throughout the shift.
• Support promotional events and marketing initiatives as needed.
• Respond professionally to customer questions, concerns, and feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the Mobile Division.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant, food service, catering, or customer service experience preferred.
• Food truck or event experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move food, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business and event needs.
