About the Role

The Food Service Worker at Pardeeville High School plays a vital role in ensuring that students and staff receive nutritious, safe, and appealing meals throughout the school day. This position is responsible for preparing, serving, and maintaining food service areas in compliance with health and safety standards. The role requires close attention to detail to uphold sanitation protocols and to support a positive dining experience for all patrons. The Food Service Worker collaborates with kitchen staff to manage inventory and maintain efficient food service operations. Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to established menus and portion sizes.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and serving areas in compliance with health regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to food safety standards.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Provide courteous and helpful service to students, staff, and visitors during meal times.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Capability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food service or cafeteria environment is a plus, but will train.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

 Manual dexterity is used extensively when handling food, operating kitchen tools, and serving meals efficiently.
