Food Service Clerk

LSSI is hiring a part-time Food Service Clerk, Monday through Friday. Responsible for performing the daily functions required to run the country store.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain inventory and place orders when needed.
• Check in received items, price items and stock shelves.
• Shop and purchase perishable items when needed.
• Prepare and serve beverages, light breakfast and lunch items.
• Operate cash register and balance receipts at the end of each shift.
• Prepare necessary reports.
• Ensure a sanitary environment is maintained.
• Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Background check clearance required.
• Food Sanitation or Food Handlers Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Two-step TB test required.
• Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
• Access to reliable transportation required.
• Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
