Food Server-The Bedford by Martha Stewart

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Manager, the incumbent provides meal service to patrons, secures funds, records non-gaming revenue, prepares deposits and conducts other monetary or control procedures as required in various restaurants. High School diploma or equivalent preferred as well as a minimum of one (1) year of food serving experience required. Must be 18 years of age. Must possess a personable, customer service attitude with organizational ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to record orders and enter as required into computer system, present a well-groomed, professional appearance and speak, read and write in English.

Duties & Responsibilities

•Must adhere to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe's Policies and Procedures.

•Serves all guests according to established standards of quality.

•Completes all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion.

•Is familiar with all pre-check and cashiering procedures; presents check to guest and collects payment.

•Adheres to food and beverage policies and procedures and state liquor laws.

•Relays guest complaints/compliments to the appropriate supervisor.

•Observes diners to respond to additional requests and to determine when meal is completed.

•Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, congenial, polite, professional and efficient attitude.

•Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.

•Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.

•Participates as a panel member on MPGE's Board of Review as needed.

•Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred as well as a minimum of one (1) year of food serving experience required. Must be 18 years of age.

•Experience in high volume food service preferred.

•Must possess a personable, customer service attitude with organizational ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

•Ability to record orders and input as required into computer system.

•Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance and speak, read and write in English.
