Food Runner

Blackstone Country Club, located in Peoria, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Food Runner. We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders promptly and accurately from the kitchen to members and guests.
• Verify that each order is complete, properly prepared, and presented according to club standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Communicate menu items and answer basic questions regarding food preparation and ingredients when delivering meals.
• Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables throughout service.
• Monitor dining areas to ensure members' needs are addressed promptly and communicate requests to the appropriate server.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, dining rooms, and expo areas.
• Assist with stocking supplies, condiments, table settings, and service equipment before and during service.
• Support banquet, golf tournament, wedding, and special event food service as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
• Assist with opening, side work, and closing duties as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, culinary staff, and managers to provide seamless member service.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude while representing Blackstone Country Club.
    

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and a strong sense of urgency.
• Professional appearance and commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist wherever needed.
• Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain) as required by state or local regulations.
    

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying food and service supplies.
• Ability to safely navigate busy dining rooms and kitchen areas.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special club events.
    

Work Environment

This position is based in a professional private country club where teamwork, hospitality, and exceptional member service are essential. Food Runners are expected to maintain a polished appearance, communicate effectively with all team members, and contribute to a positive dining experience for every member and guest.
