Job Overview
Mamahuhu is growing its front of house team. We have a casual, 40-seat dining room with bench, counter and booth seating. The dining room is designed for counter-service style ordering where guests line up, order at the counter, receive a number and we bring the food out to them when it's ready. The front of house is designed to be simple and lean and works great when we have a tight, organized group who can work efficiently and as a team.
We are looking for friendly, positive, and energetic team members to join our Front of House team!
We are currently hiring for all shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with both lunch and dinner shifts available.
Lunch shifts typically run from 11:00am–4:00pm, while dinner shifts are usually from 4:00pm–9:30pm.

This role is dynamic and hands-on, with responsibilities that may include running food, bussing the dining room, working the POS counter, answering phones, and occasionally supporting the expediter during service. Our restaurants are fun, flexible, and teamwork-oriented environments where everyone jumps in to help make the guest experience great!
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Ideally has at least 1 year of experience in a hospitality setting
- Is available for both AM and PM shifts Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Has a strong work ethic, and thrives on being part of a close knit team
- Has a sense of urgency, and challenges themselves to accomplish more each day
- Can pay close attention to detail
- Appreciates food as a way to bring people together
- Experience with or interest in Chinese cuisine is a plus!
- Has a strong sense of hospitality and service

In 2017, Brandon, Ben and Anmao met through mutual friends and connected over two shared passions: the ways in which responsible and sustainable food practices impact our collective health and the Chinese-American dishes they grew up loving to eat. Anmao and Ben had been in Shanghai for over 5 years working on the city's first organic restaurant and grocery chain. Meanwhile Brandon was carving out his path with Mister Jiu's and the cuisine he was continuing to master as a homage to his grandmother and Chinese-American background. When they all came together, things clicked.
All three believe that the choices we make about the things we eat, where ingredients come from and how dishes are prepared have a direct and deeply-felt impact on the health of individuals and our communities.
This is why Mamahuhu is devoted to cooking Chinese-American dishes from scratch with organically grown local produce and transparently raised animals.
