Flourishing Pastor Program - Student Worker Assistant (FWS)

Purpose within the Organization:

If you are passionate about theology and enjoy supporting ministry work, consider joining Grand Canyon University as a Student Worker with the Flourishing Pastor Program (FPP) at Grand Canyon Theological Seminary. Located in Building 71, the FPP is seeking a motivated, dependable, and hardworking student to provide administrative and communications support. In this role, you will help support the growth and operations of a program that seeks to bridge the gap between seminary and the local church while promoting the long-term effectiveness and well-being of ministry leaders. This position will give you hands-on experience developing your administrative and entrepreneurial skills in a professional setting.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

• Own and/or Assist with FPP Communications:
  • Social Media Content Creation
  • Managing All Flourishing Pastor Program Social Media Accounts
  • Creation of PowerPoints or other Promotional Materials
  • Responding to Emails
  • Other tasks as requested by members of the Pastoral Residency Team
• Equipment Used:
  • Outlook Calendar
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Qualifications:

• Must have friendly and efficient disposition
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written
• Previous experience managing a social media account
• Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, primarily Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to be able to focus on task, able to multitask, and prioritize tasks
• Self-motivated
• College of Theology student preferred

Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student-first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
Anticipated End Date: June 30, 2027
