Your day to day as an Engish learner Teacher mentor/Consultant/Instructional Coach in Florida

As an EL Teacher Mentor/Consultant/Instructional Coach in Florida your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around supporting and guiding fellow educators in delivering effective English language instruction. To excel as an EL Teacher Mentor/Consultant/Instructional Coach in Florida, you will need a diverse set of skills tailored to the needs of English language learners and their educators. A deep understanding of the Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language methodology is critical, as you will guide teachers in effectively preparing students for the ELPT assessment. Proficiency with technology is essential; familiarity with computer-based testing platforms and innovative tools used to engage students in interactive learning scenarios will enhance your coaching effectiveness. Additionally, strong analytical skills will enable you to evaluate student performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement across the four language domains: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Experience teaching and success as an English as a Second or foreign language teacher
• Ability to assist Florida classroom teachers in preparing EL students to successfully master mandated assessments.
• Minimum bachelor's degree in education or teaching certification in Florida
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Passionate about coaching and supporting teachers
• May be bilingual or have experience working in multilingual communities 

What You Should Know

• This is a part-time, project-based opportunity for a 1099 independent contractor.
• Independent contractors are not eligible for employee benefits or company-sponsored insurance.
• Travel to assigned school sites is required. Independent contractors are responsible for their travel expenses and must provide proof of automobile liability insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 for bodily injury per person and $50,000 for property damage, or a combined single limit of at least $300,000.
• Successful completion of Bailey Education Group's standard background check is required as part of the onboarding process.
• Each Florida school district requires an additional district-level background screening. Requirements vary according to each district's school board policies. Independent contractors must complete and comply with all applicable district requirements before they can be placed in that district.
