Job Description
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide prompt and courteous service to customers according to company policies
- Maintain floral case and display areas, indoors and outdoors
- Water plants, remove dead flowers, yellow leaves and rearrange displays as directed
- Write up orders for plants, flowers, balloons, etc.
- Unpack deliveries, check quality of product, and verify against invoices. Report any discrepancies to the manager
- Make fruit baskets, gift baskets, floral arrangements, etc. as directed
- Maintain knowledge of all products sold in the department
- Fill helium balloons as needed.
- Maintain shelves, cases, floors and storage areas in clean condition
- Perform other functions as requested.
Requirements:
- Must be a self starter and able to take direction well. Also must be able to work well with others as a group
- Must be 18 years of age
Physical Demands:
- Stand on feet, bend forward, stoop or walk for the majority of the time on duty
- Work in cooler for short periods of time
- Lift cases/containers of product up to 35 pounds
