Position Details
- Position: Floor Technician/Porter
- Schedule: Part Time Monday-Friday, 5 p.m.- to 9 p.m.
- Part Time, Sat - Sun 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour
- Location: Galleria Woods Senior Living, Hoover, Alabama
What You'll Do
As a Floor Technician/Porter, you'll help ensure our community remains clean, comfortable, and inviting by:
- Cleaning and maintaining common areas, hallways, and public restrooms
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and caring for floors and carpets
- Collecting and disposing of trash
- Assisting with room and event setups
- Maintaining housekeeping equipment and supplies
- Following daily work assignments and priorities established by supervisors
- Supporting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and team members
- Maintaining resident privacy and confidentiality at all times
What We're Looking For
We're seeking dependable, hardworking individuals who:
- Experience using scrub and extractor machines
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Can understand and follow instructions in English
- Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers
- Can lift up to 30 pounds
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality
- Have previous porter, housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, or healthcare environmental services experience (preferred but not required)
