We're looking for a Float Patient Navigator to join our growing team and support partner locations throughout the Southern Denver, Colorado region.

As a Float Patient Navigator, you'll help patients through the hereditary cancer testing process while providing hands-on clinical support at different partner locations across the region.

📍 The Role at a Glance

Position: Float Patient Navigator – Phlebotomy
Location: Southern Denver, CO region
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | In-Person
Travel: Local travel between partner locations as needed

💙 What You'll Do

🧑‍⚕️ Support Patients From Start to Finish

You'll be a key point of contact for patients completing hereditary cancer genetic testing.

You'll:

Guide patients through the genetic testing process

Explain testing, procedures, and next steps in a clear and compassionate way

Answer patient questions and provide education

Conduct structured patient consultations

Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported

Follow up with patients throughout the testing process

🚗 Be a Trusted Float Across Southern Denver

As a Float Patient Navigator, you'll support different partner locations based on staffing and patient needs.

You'll:

Travel between partner clinics throughout the Southern Denver region

Build relationships with providers, clinic staff, and clinical teams

Learn and adapt to different clinic workflows

Step in where support is needed

Adjust to changing schedules and priorities

Help keep patient care and clinic operations running smoothly

Think of yourself as the teammate every location can count on.

🩸 Put Your Phlebotomy Skills to Work

You'll provide hands-on clinical support, including:

Performing venipuncture

Collecting blood specimens for genetic testing

Properly identifying, labeling, handling, and transporting specimens

Following clinical and safety protocols

Maintaining accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems

📲 Own the Patient Journey

You'll help make sure patients don't get lost in the process.

You'll:

Coordinate scheduling and follow-ups

Manage patient cases from start to finish

Identify and resolve barriers to testing

Help troubleshoot scheduling, insurance, and workflow issues

Maintain timely communication with patients and partner teams

🧬 Build Your Expertise

You'll develop knowledge and experience in:

Hereditary cancer genetic testing

Genetic testing workflows

Patient eligibility

Insurance verification and prior authorizations

Diagnostic specimen collection

Clinical documentation

HIPAA and compliance requirements

👀 What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills

2+ years of clinical experience in a front-office or back-office healthcare setting

2+ years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations

Current BLS certification

Experience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collection

Strong communication and patient-service skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Valid driver's license

Reliable transportation for travel between Southern Denver-area locations

Comfortable working across multiple clinic locations and adapting to different environments

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

CMA or RMA certification

2+ years of experience in an outpatient clinic or patient service center

Experience in genetics, oncology, women's health, or specialty diagnostics

Experience with EMR/EHR systems

Strong documentation skills

High-touch, patient-facing healthcare experience

Bilingual English/Spanish

Interest in building a career in healthcare, diagnostics, or clinical operations
