Job Description
We are hiring an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter for commercial and warehouse projects in the Fontana, CA area. This role is best suited for someone with strong hands-on installation experience who can work independently from plans with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Install and run overhead steel fire sprinkler piping
- Install mains, branch lines, risers, drops, and sprinkler heads
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, fit, hang, and secure steel pipe
- Install hangers, supports, seismic bracing, and structural bracing
- Read and interpret sprinkler blueprints, shop drawings, and layouts
- Make field adjustments when site conditions differ from plans
- Coordinate sprinkler piping with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other trades
- Work safely from scissor lifts and boom lifts at heights up to 30–36 feet
- Follow all jobsite safety procedures and quality standards
- 5–6 years of hands-on fire sprinkler fitting/install experience
- Strong commercial or warehouse sprinkler installation background
- Experience working with steel fire sprinkler pipe
- Must be able to work independently from blueprints without constant supervision
- Experience with sprinkler heads, mains, branch lines, hangers, and seismic bracing
- Comfortable working at heights and operating lifts
- Must have basic fitter tools and PPE
- Reliable transportation to the Fontana area
- Strong attendance, reliability, and safety awareness
