Regulatory Reporting Analyst

Pay: $45-53/hr 

Contract Duration: 2 months, with possibility of extension depending on performance and department budget.

We are seeking a junior-level Finance/Accounting professional to support regulatory reporting activities within a financial services environment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong Excel, communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Ideal Candidate: A dependable, responsive Finance/Accounting professional who is comfortable performing detailed manual work, can keep pace with a busy team, and consistently meets deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc regulatory reports.

• Support Federal Reserve and other regulatory filings, including reports such as FR Y-15, FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031/002/009/019, FR 2644, FR 2900, TIC, and BE reports.

• Reconcile reporting data to the general ledger, validate data, and perform variance analysis.

• Ensure reporting changes and accounting standards are incorporated into regulatory submissions.

• Maintain procedures and documentation for regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate with stakeholders across the organization and meet multiple reporting deadlines.

• Perform detailed, hands-on/manual reporting and accounting tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting major preferred.

• Approximately 2–3+ years of relevant Finance or Accounting experience.

• Experience in Big 4, regional accounting firms, banking, financial accounting, product control, or regulatory reporting preferred.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required; PowerPoint and Word proficiency.

• Working knowledge of financial or regulatory reporting.

• Basic understanding of financial products such as loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, money market products, and repos.

• Strong communication, responsiveness, organization, and time-management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Banking and accounting experience.

• Regulatory reporting experience, particularly FR Y-15, FR Y-9C, FR Y-31, or FR Y-32.

• Alteryx or Power BI experience.

• CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional credential.
