The Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) Project Manager will provide direct services to clients including financial coaching to clients, recruiting new clients, presentations to the public, delivering workshops, collecting data, and verifying data collection. Project management duties include presentation of data, reporting, cost budgeting, operations of the FOC, and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one coaching for participants in Fayette County Community Action Agency’s Financial Opportunity Center
Design an Individualized Financial Plan for each client
Assist participants with goal setting, budgeting, credit building/rebuilding, debt repayment, savings, utilization for quality financial services, and asset development
Provides benefits counseling (food stamps, medical assistance, utility programs, etc.)
Develops and conducts financial workshops in regard to home buying, credit repair, budgeting, etc.
Provides specific computer systems training to participants
Collects and verifies all required data from participants; assists with program reports
Identifies and refers participants to other providers, resources, programs and services (within and outside of agency) needed to achieve financial goals
Documents all client contact and follow-up
Observes all guidelines related to confidentiality, financial regulations, privacy, quality control, personnel, agency procedures, and others
Completes necessary training to receive certification for financial coaching
Attend all required meetings, trainings, etc. to maintain certification(s) in financial coaching
Maintains a flexible work schedule
Qualifications: Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business or closely related field preferred
Experience in social service case management preferred
Experience in case documentation and file maintenance preferred
Ability to establish and maintain rapport and cooperation with clients
Ability to protect client confidentiality in accordance with applicable regulations
Ability to communicate with clients who may have learning disabilities or barriers to understanding
Ability to communicate well via telephone
Ability to plan and organize daily work
Ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented verbally or in writing
Computer Skills
Intermediate MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience using customer relations and other proprietary systems preferred
Experience using electronic timekeeping preferred
Key Performance Measures
Meets project goals relating to number of clients served and quality of service delivered
Maintain above average client ratings on customer/client surveys
Delivers services within program scope and within projected budget and timeline
Additional Requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (no violations)
Ability to successfully pass Federal and State criminal background check and State of Pennsylvania Child Abuse background check
