Hi there!

We're looking for a Finance Manager to be the dedicated finance partner for Zapier's marketing organization. This is a unique opportunity to own the full financial picture for one of the most strategically important spend areas at the company - headcount, budget, and channel investment while playing a key role in connecting marketing activity to pipeline and revenue outcomes. You'll report into the Head of GTM Finance and partner closely with marketing leadership, working closely with Sales FP&A and Corporate FP&A to establish a clean interlock between marketing, sales, and company level financials.

About You

• You have a strong investment banking background with exposure to GTM motions, or 8+ years of experience in marketing FP&A or GTM finance - either path with a solid understanding of how sales pipeline converts to closed-won revenue

• You're comfortable owning a budget end to end, including headcount, spend actuals, and purchase orders, and communicating variance clearly to non-finance stakeholders

• You have a strong grasp of channel-level marketing economics (pipeline generation vs. brand), cost per pipe, and how to connect spend to downstream pipeline and revenue outcomes

• You're comfortable with ambiguity - able to structure a loosely-defined problem yourself rather than needing it handed to you fully scoped

• You have good judgment and a bias toward surfacing issues and opportunities proactively, not waiting to be asked

• You actively use AI tools to work more efficiently, with the judgment to know when to go deep manually and when to lean on the tool

• You're a strong written and verbal communicator, able to turn a complex analysis into a short, clear executive takeaway with guidance from your manager

• Experience with Google Sheets, a data warehouse (Databricks or Snowflake), NetSuite, Zip, and HubSpot is preferred

Things You’ll Do

• Own marketing FP&A end-to-end: headcount planning, budget building, and actuals tracking, so marketing leadership always has a clear, current view of where things stand against plan

• Own channel allocation analysis (demand generation vs. brand) and drive ROI-by-channel reporting

• Work on sales pipeline forecasting based on spend, as part of setting GTM targets and ARR modeling, flagging risks to pipeline coverage or targets early

• Serve as an embedded business partner to marketing leadership - not a once-a-month reporting function, but someone marketing trusts to think through decisions with in real time

• Track purchase orders and vendor commitments against budget, flagging overspend risk before it happens

• Analyze the connection between marketing spend, pipeline generation, and closed-won revenue, working cross-functionally with Sales and RevOps

• Partner with the Data team to establish and govern pipeline reporting definitions (leads, MQLs, opportunities) so the funnel is consistent end to end

• Use AI to automate recurring finance processes, building skills and agents that can run parts of month-end close and re-forecasting cycles
