Final Inspection Clerk - 1st shift - $16.40/hr up to $17.02

Job DetailsJob Location: Valdese, NC 28690Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.

Job Summary: Reconcile return authorizations, evaluate and dispose of returns, report 

findings, place goods in unassigned stock, maintain files and spreadsheets, and interact 

in a positive manner with all departments involved in the return process.  Regrade and 

Post-Inspect when needed.

Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:

Process all returns in a timely manner and determine the disposition of product – seconds, unassigned stock, stock back to customer, or imports.
Evaluate all returns to verify yards returned, correct, and the valid reason for return.
Report all findings to the Post-Inspection Department Manager
Work with the quality group to make corrections and give feedback on returns
Maintain spreadsheets with information on the disposition of returns
Work with Customer Service on getting new sales orders for “Stock Back To Customer Returns”
Sort returns to be sent to appropriate parties – Circa, Perkins, Finishing
Regrade as needed and fill in as lead regrader when necessary.
Post-inspect fabric as needed (see job description for Post-Inspection).
Perform other duties as necessary to complete the job assignment or as directed by the supervisor.

Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.
Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards. 
Maintain 5S standards.

Qualifications 

Qualifications:

Good organizational skills and attention to detail 
Computer literate and familiar with SAP 
Post-Inspection experience
The ability to work without direct supervision.
