Program & Location: Massachusetts Impaired Driving Program - New Bedford, MA
Schedule: Part Time, 4hrs/week. Flexible hours needed, nighttime and weekends to facilitate psychoeducation groups for the Massachusetts Impaired Driving program.

About Us

High Point’s Massachusetts Impaired Driving (MID) program is a 40-hour program for clients to complete who have a 1^st offense OUI/DUI. This is a currently a remote position with tasks including but not limited to facilitating groups associated with a curriculum and completing intake assessments virtually. Position will work closely with MID Administrative Assistants at each site. Ideally, candidates will be open to facilitating up to 2 groups weekly (2 hours each) and completing 2 intakes weekly (90 minutes each) as well. Group and intake times are subject to candidate’s schedule. MID Groups take place after 5 PM on weekdays and any time on weekends. Intakes can take place at any time that works for candidate.

High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. MID Fee for Service Facilitator Requirements

• Must present as courteous and professional at all times;
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks;
• Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion;
• Knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs;
• Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner;
• An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs;
• Understand and maintain therapeutic boundaries;
• Reinforce rules in a respectful manner;
• Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder and HIPAA Regulations;
• Certification in the HPAO approved de-escalation program;
• Experience with Psychoeducational Groups 
• Must have time management skills and be organized at completing tasks in a timely manner 

MID Fee for Service Facilitator Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security of residents and facility;
• Ensure timely contact of Program Manager/Authorities in event of a crisis/emergency;
• Work closely with Program Support Staff 
• Facilitate MID groups using assigned curriculum 
• Complete Intakes as needed with clients 
• Complete Progress Reports for clients in group to provide to Probation Department 
• Complete Group Notes in EHR after every group 
• Accurately record resident attendance at meetings, appointments, groups, etc.
• Attend clinical supervision, required staff meetings and trainings
• All other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

MID Fee for Service Facilitator Qualifications

1. A master's degree in one of the following disciplines or a closely related field: clinical psychology, education counseling, medicine, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitation counseling, social work, and who has a minimum of one year of supervised substance abuse counseling experience; OR
2. A bachelor's degree in any of the listed disciplines and a minimum of two years of supervised substance abuse counseling experience; OR
3. A recognized certification or licensure including 4,000 hours of clinically supervised counseling of individuals with substance use disorders including at least 220 documented hours of supervision.
