Position Summary

Hope Valley Country Club is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support daily operations and help deliver exceptional experience for members and their guests. This role plays a key part in leading front-of-house service teams, maintaining high standards of service, and assisting with club dining, events, and special functions.

Essential Responsibilities

Assist with daily management of all food and beverage operations, including dining outlets, banquets, and special events
Lead and supervise front-of-house staff to ensure consistently exceptional service
Support hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management of service staff
Maintain a visible presence on the floor, engaging with members and guests to ensure satisfaction
Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless service execution
Assist in planning and executing club events, tournaments, and private functions
Monitor service quality, cleanliness, and overall presentation of dining areas
Support inventory management, ordering, cost controls, and COGS tracking
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Handle member feedback professionally and resolve service-related concerns promptly

Qualifications

Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in food and beverage operations, hospitality management, or private club dining
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong guest-service mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop service teams
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and beverage service
Experience with banquet and event service a plus
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required

QualificationsREQUIRED SKILLS

Strong leadership and people management skills.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems.
Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
Significant experience in the food and beverage industry.
