FACILITIES ON-CALL // EAGLE BROOK CHURCH

JOB OBJECTIVES

•          Supports campus ministries and events by helping to keep the campus clean and welcoming to attenders
•          Completes event set-up and tear-down duties as assigned
•          Reports to the Facilities Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assists with Facilities duties including set-up and tear-down for all campus events
• Maintains the cleanliness of the facility (i.e., vacuuming, trash, restrooms, general cleaning, etc.)
• Helps to maintain building furnishings, equipment, and operating systems
• Supports safety and security for the campus
• Distributes daily deliveries
• Clears walkways as needed
• Other projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS 

•          Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook’s nine core beliefs
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
• Physical ability for cleaning and operating cleaning equipment
• Able to walk and stand up to 90% of workday
• Lifting and loading up to 30 pounds
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Flexible work hours

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

•          Regular moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
•          Regular remaining in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods
•          Occasional assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
•          Occasional communicating with others to exchange information
•          Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like
•          Occasional moving of self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces
•          Occasional repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
•          Occasional operating machinery and/or power tools
•          Occasional light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds in all directions with appropriate support or equipment

BENEFITS

 
There are no employer-provided benefits or paid holidays with this temporary position. The employee will accrue one hour of sick and safe leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year. A year for purposes of this policy begins on January 1. This time is available to be used for qualifying Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) reasons. For notification procedures, please see the Eagle Brook Employee Handbook. The employee will be able to carry over any unused sick and safe leave hours up to a total maximum of 80 hours. At any point, the available ESST balance will not exceed 80 hours. ESST hours do not pay out upon end of employment.

The employee may also be eligible for Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) benefits through Eagle Brook's approved private PFML plan, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. PFML provides eligible employees with paid leave for qualifying family or medical reasons.
