Job Description
Pacific Aerospace Consulting, Inc (PAC) is an innovative, privately-owned company delivering high-impact operational capability to our Defense and commercial partners. Our trusted team of engineers, operational experts and technical specialists share a passion for the capabilities we support - always ready to go the extra mile to ensure mission success. We look for people who value integrity, flexibility, and professionalism - these values set the standard for everything we do.
Our culture allows us a unique opportunity to make – and see – an impact. We enable autonomy, value professional curiosity and decisiveness, and – above all – cultivate collaboration. Our ideal candidate doesn’t just ‘fit’ our culture – they add something unique and enhance it.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an organized, tech-savvy individual to join our team supporting defense aerospace operations — no prior defense experience required. This is a part-time, three-month fixed-term contract position based in Lexington Park, MD. Assignments will vary, but will include the following responsibilities:
- Technical & Administrative Proficiency – Utilize Microsoft Office 365 Suite, collaboration platforms, and document management systems to support daily operations, reporting, recordkeeping, and coordination activities. Maintain organized digital records, assist with document control processes, and support efficient information management practices.
- Computer Literacy – Demonstrate strong general computer literacy, including the ability to quickly learn new software, systems, and processes with minimal supervision.
- Facility Coordination - Support client on-site as central point of contact for all facility-related inquiries and requests, including facility maintenance, procurement, and services provided. No facilities background is required – strong organizational skills and follow-through are what matter.
- ICT Support - Support client on-site as central point of contact for network, infrastructure, software, and equipment inquiries. This is a coordination and triage role – general tech-savviness and a willingness to learn are more important than formal ICT qualifications.
- Quality Assurance – Ensure work is completed consistently and to a professional standard by following established PAC procedures and on-site instructions. This includes accurate recordkeeping, use of approved document templates, and professional written communication. No formal quality qualifications required.
- Travel – Local and interstate travel in support of this position. Occasional local travel may be required; interstate travel is infrequent.
This is an office-based role supported by a local team, with training and guidance available on the ground. The broader PAC team operates across multiple locations and time zones, and your on-site presence is key to supporting colleagues whose remote access to certain systems is limited.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrates strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new software tools, and confidence working across Microsoft Office 365, collaboration tools, shared drives, and document management systems.
- Demonstrated experience providing ICT support services related to office infrastructure and equipment, including internet services, printers, scanners, and basic networked devices.
- Holds, or is eligible to obtain, a US or Australian Secret security clearance – preferred but not essential; PAC will support the clearance process for the right candidate.
- Ability to comply with International Traffic in Arms Requirements.
Our ideal candidate is someone who:
- Values autonomy, takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, and proactively identifies solutions with minimal direction.
- Displays exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Is an effective communicator and demonstrates a willingness to work collaboratively.
- Is adaptable and willing to learn new technologies, processes, and operational requirements.
- Is able to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Has a strong work ethic and always displays integrity and professionalism.
- Possesses excellent problem-solving abilities, proactively addressing challenges, and demonstrates initiative in resolving independently before escalating when appropriate.
