Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): 

To support SOAN371 students in their learning, assignments, and exam preparation, and provide assistance to SOAN371 instructor

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Attend class

• Help teach research skills

• Encourage and motivate student researchers

• Provide feedback on student writing and research progress

• Provide examples of research from own experience

• Assist student researchers with problem-solving, answer questions

• Organize and provide review sessions for exams

• Grade quizzes

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) 

• Completed SOAN371 with a grade of B+ or higher

• Experience with quantitative research, report writing, and presentations

• Skilled in writing, speaking/presenting, and in analyzing data using SPSS

• Collaboration-oriented

• Patient (with student questions)

• Detail-oriented (for providing feedback and guidance on student work)
