Our team of hosts, Food runners, and servers work together to provide excellent hospitality to our guests in a fast-paced environment. Our Food runners and Expeditors are a vital part of our team, serving as a grease to help keep everything in the restaurant moving smoothly! Our food runners are responsible for getting food ready to be served and assisting the front of house team in getting food quickly and correctly served to the right tables!

As a Food runner you will have responsibilities such as:

• Delivering food correctly and quickly from the back of house to the front of house
• Checking orders for accuracy
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the restaurant.
• Helping to maintain a clean and tidy restaurant
• Bring a spark of energy to every shift!
• Assisting with the serving of orders to the restaurant floor.

And have following required knowledges, skills, and ability:

• Ability to smile and communicate clearly with guests.
• Able to arrive at work on time and reliably.
• Ability to stand and move on your feet for a long time.
• Be able to answer the phone and take orders efficiently and with a positive attitude.

The Mustard Seed was started in 1978 in Missoula, Montana by a group of friends and family. Included in that group were sisters Betty and Nancy Tokumoto and Betty's husband, David Hall. Betty and Nancy grew up in Okinawa, Bangkok, and Hawaii and attended college in Oregon; so, they have a unique ability to blend the cooking styles of the Far East with the tastes of the Pacific Northwest. Our recipes were created or inspired by the Tokumoto sisters.
