Server Assistant 

A server assistant's primary role is to help servers and provide good dining experience for guests. 

Responsibilities: 

Set tables with the right silverware, glassware, and dishes 
Refill drinks and clear empty glasses as needed 
Clear dirty dishes and glasses from tables 
Prepare tables for the next guests 
Run food to tables in a timely manner 
Greet guests and provide them with menus as needed
Ensure supplies are stocked before, during, and after shift 
Communicate effectively with the FOH and BOH to ensure timely service 
Respond to any special needs and requests quickly, and relay them to the server or manager, if necessary 

Expo

Food expeditors are the liaison between the kitchen staff and the customers. They are responsible for the smooth flow of orders and efficient delivery of service. They communicate with the FOH and BOH and they inspect the quality of the dishes served. In the food expeditor role, you will be in charge of calling out orders to the chefs and preparing dishes for delivery. A key element of this role is to ascertain that each staff member receives the proper orders. Success in this role will be demonstrated by positive feedback from guests through timely and accurate order delivery.

Responsibilities

Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the waiters to the kitchen
Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
Assist in the final preparation of dishes
Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
Deliver orders to maintain fast service
Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashing
Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning
Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request)
Handle complaints from guests to preserve the restaurant’s reputation

Schedule: No lunches, late nights, or Sundays (Except Easter and Mother's Day Brunch)

Compensation: Server Assistant- $12 base hourly rate plus tips. Expo- $15 base hourly rate plus tips. 
Qualifications: Requirements and skills

Proven experience as food expeditor or other restaurant position
Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant
Dexterity in using kitchen equipment or utensils and carry heavy trays
Well-organized and ability to lead and direct people
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities
A customer-oriented approach
Must be able to life 50+ lbs. and stand for 4+ hours
