Urban Animal Veterinary Hospital is a well-established small animal practice located in a vibrant, culturally diverse area of Houston. Our hospital is built around relationship-based medicine, thoughtful client education, and practicing veterinary care at a higher clinical standard. We see a wide variety of cases—from preventative care and routine medicine to urgent and complex medical presentations—while prioritizing transparency, low-stress handling, and individualized patient care.

We are strengthening our team with intention and are excited to welcome an experienced Associate Veterinarian who is confident, collaborative, and motivated to practice high-quality medicine in a supportive environment.

This role is best suited for a veterinarian who values strong medicine, clear communication, and wants to be part of a hospital that is growing thoughtfully and purposefully.

• Patient-Centered Care: 30-minute appointments, gentle handling, separate dog and cat areas, calming pheromones, and treats to ensure fear-free, stress-free visits.
• Thoughtful Facility Design: Modern hospital layout with a dedicated surgery suite (heated table + specialized lighting), three exam rooms including true isolation with exterior access, and Oxygen cages + drop down lines throughout the hospital. 
• Expanded Clinical Capabilities: Manage more complex cases in-house with access to boarded surgeons, radiologists, and cardiology consultation—while maintaining ownership of your cases and clinical decision-making.
• Tools and Diagnostics:  Practice high-quality medicine with in-house CBC, chemistry, clotting, digital radiography, digital dental radiographs, in-house ultrasound, cold laser and more!
